Safetec Academy

What sets our Academy apart?

What sets our Academy apart? Our Academy is valued by many professionals as an “excellent institution for further training.” A consistent practical orientation is the hallmark of Safetec training courses. Among other things, participants obtain in-depth knowledge of S3 radiation protection and respiratory protection training in accordance with DGUV rule 112-190. All training courses are certified and comply with the applicable legal requirements.

The motto of the Safetec Academy is “If you stop getting better, you stop being good” – Philip Rosenthal.

The Safetec Academy in Heidelberg proudly opened its doors in 2020. The name change from “Training Center” to “Academy” that accompanied the opening was important and put the finishing touches on our in-house training and further education center. CEO Timo Knoll is the official head of the Safetec Academy. The main person responsible and contact for all organizational matters is Ms. Theresa Imöhl. Currently the Safetec Academy offers around 15 training courses each year, in which we provide professional training and development for both our employees and external participants.

Practice-oriented learning is an important component and one of the cornerstones of the Safetec Academy. A dedicated training center was therefore established in 2022. This is under the responsibility of Mr. Guido Brunner, the technical trainer at the Safetec Academy. The training center is based on the following conviction: If you are attentive and open-minded, you will learn effectively, easily, and quickly during the practical phases – because how can you explain something better than when you can see it live with your own eyes and touch it? Our experienced engineers and specialist instructors place great emphasis on vivid, tangible lessons that are tailored to the needs of the participants.

Our contribution to a secure future

The Safetec Academy offers courses for internal and external participants throughout the year in cooperation with various educational institutions. In recent years, both the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and Mannheim University of Applied Sciences have established themselves as training partners. Flexibility, networking, and shared learning – all these qualities are possible in collaboration with our cooperation partners. The aim is to offer the broadest possible range of professional and personal development. This is where career changers in particular learn the basics of nuclear technology and thus pave the way for a career in radiation protection or decommissioning.
